While all of Oaxaca is full of color, the neighborhood of Jalatlaco is what you might call the arts district of the city. It's here you'll find murals upon murals, vegan cafes, hidden bars & plenty of tattoo shops. We also discovered one of our favorite stops- a shop called Once in Oaxaca owned by an Australian Mexican artist. Brian went back multiple times to frequent the cafe portion of his shop and I fell in love with his illustrations of Oaxacan architecture & street life!
Supposedly this neighborhood really comes alive for Dio de las Muertos each year and I'm sure that's a sight to see!
Enjoy this scroll of color-- it doesn't get old!
