Bullet Points

  • I just ordered loads of tea from Upton Tea Imports and Harney and Sons!! I am so excited cause I've needed to do this for months since we ran out of good teas but other things kept popping up and taking priority. Can't wait to try some new ones and love on the old favorites again! {and if I was thinking, I would have had them delivered to my aunts since they'll come while we're gone}
  • After the laptop crashing twice since the photoshoot almost 4 weeks ago, I'm about to write the CD & get Kathleen & JM's photos in the mail to them!! {usually it takes me 2, at the most 3, weeks to edit & mail a shoot}

  • I have a whole lotta posts full of inspiration and photos that I want to pull together but they might have to wait another week or two. Things have been crazy recently!
  • God has blessed me with means to purchase a much needed MacBook much sooner than I originally thought and I am *so* excited! No more crashing computers and lost photos!
  • We're about to head out the door (in less than an hour) on our next trip for the summer. This time to a gorgeous spot on Lake Erie where my aunt and uncle live. My plan for each morning is to wake up, ride or drive to the coffee shop or the beach and have my devotions there. Then journal or read and write a whole lotta thank you notes.
  • Did I mention that that was 60+ thank you notes?! Phew!! But I really am grateful.
  • I'm really, really behind on editing personal pictures. Just sayin'.
  • Instead of choosing outfits for a 10 day trip before packing my suitcase, this time I simply packed a whole lotta clothes to make outfits from as I go. It might mean a heavier suitcase but trust me, it means a whole lot less time spent on the front end trying to decide what I want to wear a week from now. (Because goodness me, how do I know what the weather will be, what we'll be doing or what my mood will be that day and what I'll want to wear?!)
  • Yesterday I finished refashioning a dress into a skirt and I love the result!! {pictures and post to come soon!}
  • Kat & JM's photoshoot is safely written to a CD and a big sigh of thankfulness just escaped my lips.
  • And now I'm posting this, shutting the laptop, grabbing my bag and heading out the door!!

What are you up to this weekend?! I hope you have a marvelous time whatever it is!
Blessings, Em

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

So many people loved the Strawberry Pretzel Salad served at the grad party this weekend and asked for the recipe so I'll just post it here to make it easily accessible!!

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Bottom layer:
2 Cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
1 Tablespoon sugar

Mix the three ingredients and then spread into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 400 for 8 minutes.

Middle layer:
8 oz. Cream Cheese
8oz. Whipped Topping
1 Cup of sugar

Whip these three ingredients together. When the pan is completely cooled (chilling in the fridge speeds this process up!) spread the mixture on top of the pretzels. Important!: Make sure that it spreads from edge to edge completely so that no jello can leak through to the pretzels!!

Top layer:
6 oz. package of Strawberry Jello (large box)
2 10 oz. packages of frozen strawberries

Dissolve jello in 2 cups of boiling water and add frozen strawberries, stirring to mix. Carefully pour on top of the cheese mixture (it creates craters easily if you pour too quickly). Refrigerate the whole dish until firm. Enjoy!!
