- I just ordered loads of tea from Upton Tea Imports and Harney and Sons!! I am so excited cause I've needed to do this for months since we ran out of good teas but other things kept popping up and taking priority. Can't wait to try some new ones and love on the old favorites again! {and if I was thinking, I would have had them delivered to my aunts since they'll come while we're gone}
- After the laptop crashing twice since the photoshoot almost 4 weeks ago, I'm about to write the CD & get Kathleen & JM's photos in the mail to them!! {usually it takes me 2, at the most 3, weeks to edit & mail a shoot}
- I have a whole lotta posts full of inspiration and photos that I want to pull together but they might have to wait another week or two. Things have been crazy recently!
- God has blessed me with means to purchase a much needed MacBook much sooner than I originally thought and I am *so* excited! No more crashing computers and lost photos!
- We're about to head out the door (in less than an hour) on our next trip for the summer. This time to a gorgeous spot on Lake Erie where my aunt and uncle live. My plan for each morning is to wake up, ride or drive to the coffee shop or the beach and have my devotions there. Then journal or read and write a whole lotta thank you notes.
- Did I mention that that was 60+ thank you notes?! Phew!! But I really am grateful.
- I'm really, really behind on editing personal pictures. Just sayin'.
- Instead of choosing outfits for a 10 day trip before packing my suitcase, this time I simply packed a whole lotta clothes to make outfits from as I go. It might mean a heavier suitcase but trust me, it means a whole lot less time spent on the front end trying to decide what I want to wear a week from now. (Because goodness me, how do I know what the weather will be, what we'll be doing or what my mood will be that day and what I'll want to wear?!)
- Yesterday I finished refashioning a dress into a skirt and I love the result!! {pictures and post to come soon!}
- Kat & JM's photoshoot is safely written to a CD and a big sigh of thankfulness just escaped my lips.
- And now I'm posting this, shutting the laptop, grabbing my bag and heading out the door!!
What are you up to this weekend?! I hope you have a marvelous time whatever it is!
Blessings, Em
Hello Emily,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fantastic family vacation... you all deserve it!
I just finished writing about 65 thank-you notes myself! I am so thankful for my friends who have poured into my life...it's hard to put that gratitude into words, isn't it?
Give my love to the family!
Rebecca F.
How exciting on getting a Macbook! They are so much fun. I was able to buy one last year and I love mine.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on packing for vacation. Who knows what the weather will be like, your mood {very key!!}, etc... I might have to try your idea out when I travel to LA next month with my family.
Ooh. I can't wait to see pictures of your refashioning project! I bet it looks simply darling.
This weekend will be spent sewing for my Etsy shop and having a photo-shoot with my sister for the shop. I'll also be planning my bathing suit and birthday dress out before I start sewing them next week.
