morning y'all!
It's been freezing as of late {40-60 degree temps in April *is* freezing people!} and as such, you'll find me bundled as cozy as I can be inside the house, avoiding the wind. When I got back from Africa, it was 80's and, thinking I'd completely missed spring, I thought it'd be smart to kill two birds with one stone. So as I was unpacking a month of luggage, I packed away *all* of my winter clothes. All long sleeve shirts {even the thin ones} and all my sweaters except for a few thin cardigans. *stupid*, stupid, stupid idea.
Needless to say, I've been profusely regretting doing so in the last few weeks! I even had to go digging in the storage room for a pair of tights the other day! And I went to a spring cookout looking like I was dressed for an autumn one-- scarf, tights & lots of layers.
Honestly, I'm kinda peeve at myself because I've lived in Indy 6 years and should know how bi-polar the weather is. But I still forget.
Anyway. Here are two ensembles from slightly warmer days. Even then, what's not pictured is my mismatched sweater that I threw on as soon as the pictures were taken!
Originally I planned on just posting the first outfit as a look of the day... but then I found myself unintentionally recreating the color scheme in another outfit a few days later so I thought I'd share them both:)

I haven't really paired milky aqua, cobalt blue & brown together before now... but I think it works! It's a bit of spring & summer all in one. Which completely matches our weather as of late so maybe that's why I was drawn to it! Oh and apparently I just can't get away from mixing those patterns --whether subtly or not so subtly!
Funny how these two combinations have many similarities, and yet are so different. Which do you like more? How would you recreate this color scheme or either one of these looks?

I love your style. I could never pull it off but you do a great job. I actually have a friend from Texas who wears very similar clothes as you do. Anyhow, she's getting married in August and I know she's looking for a Vintage wedding dress. Once the pictures are posted I'll be sure and show you. I'm sure you'll love it.
