I met up with Marie first, while she was still getting ready, to discuss a few details about the upcoming wedding day. But the first thing I found out when I arrived was that there was a major change of plans! Garry is in the Marines and his orders were changed so at the last minute they've had to switch their wedding day from December to May! They thought they had 9 more months to plan the wedding and all of a sudden they have 6 weeks! Needless to say, they are in full wedding mode now & being such champs about it! Thankfully my schedule was open for the new date of their wedding so finding another photographer is one less thing they have to do!
Garry walked in when we were almost ready to go and soon after, we headed to Glenn Miller Park {not named after the big band musician!} where Marie & Garry have spent most of their dates together. It was a gorgeous, rolling park and despite being incredibly overcast, it never rained and all the trees were in bloom!
Neither of them have ever done a photoshoot before but you wouldn't have known! They were so natural and seemed to completely forget that the camera was there:) 'Course, that can't be too hard to do when you have the love of your life right next to you;) The love they have for each other is so evident & capturing them interacting was so sweet! When I mentioned how we might do some relaxed shots with no smiling, Marie replied with a laugh, "that's going to be really hard because every time I look at Garry I can't help but smile really big!" I loved how they chose to start off the session in their uniforms- showcasing their professions. Getting to know & capture them as a *couple* was such a pleasure and I know that if they were this relaxed during an engagement shoot, they'll be *awesome* on their wedding day!
I had to share this one in color & b/w-- such a great looking couple!
love this!!
I know this is one of the most cliche arrangements out there but we just *had* to do it since Garry is in the Marines!
see how great they were?!
rockin' the glare!
the next two are major favorites!
These pictures are SO well taken, staged and posed!!! Major props to the photographer and the models! :)
