// musanze, rwanda //

spending several days in the northern part of rwanda gave us plenty of time to tour a bunch of business initiatives and community groups. we hiked up into the mountains to learn more about the new hydropower plants that are providing inexpensive power to rwandans. we spent a few days in the villages learning about how Hope International is facilitating small savings groups and World Relief is improving the health & hygiene in communities. we visited a large chicken farm, learned how they've developed a feed processing plant for the chickens and then got to be apart of providing protein to preschoolers through the One Egg program. we toured a technical & vocational school that is teaching high school graduates things such as computer skills, hospitality, construction, brick making, culinary arts & farming.
the measure and importance of community in these villages is so deep and getting to witness it in every place we toured was so encouraging! we spent out time in the evenings learning kinyarwandan and spending time with friends we made around town and then listened to different speakers share their testimonies during dinner.
we are so grateful for the many people who gave of their time so that we could learn from their example! rwanda is an abundantly blessed country and it's beautiful to see them giving all the praise and honor right back to Jesus!
