h & p | 2014

i was beyond excited to see hannah and meet phil at their wedding last weekend!! the bummer about living in different states than some of your friends is that you don't always have the opportunity to get to know their special someone before the wedding day. but though i didn't meet phil face-to-face till their wedding day, i found out that i had been his desktop background for months! or rather, a picture of us girls with his sweetheart hannah had been his background:) haha

whenever i pictured hannah in the past years, i always thought her to be the epitome of a southern bell. classy, sweet to the core, genuinely caring & full of love. i always thought that it would have to be an incredibly special guy to be worthy of her and after meeting phil, i know he's the perfect one.

their ceremony had just about everyone in tears and the reception was simple & perfect.

you know how they say that weddings end up being the reunions of friends? well it's so true and i'm growing to love that aspect! our mini-friend reunion at the wedding, and then afterwards at dinner, was so beautiful & life-giving! 

what was originally supposed to be a whirlwind overnight trip for the wedding turned into a 3 night stay due to yucky weather all over the place. for once i didn't mind the weather because it gave me more precious time with eleanna, uncle meredith, aunt christy and their family. i'm so thankful that even when months stretch long between visits, it seems like no time has passed when i'm with them!
