Monday morning, after helping to clean & pack up the house, we managed to fit 5 of us (plus all of our luggage) into Madison's suv. (I was having major Uganda flashbacks and even bought a glass bottle Fanta when we stopped for snacks!!) She was ever so sweet to drive us through the pass from Wenatchee into Seattle to drop us to get a rental car on her way home. The drive was gorgeous and we had some great conversations while we drove through the mountains! I really want to tell the whole crazy story of getting our rental car but it would be super long and I've written bunches in the last few days... so if you're interested, just ask!
Seattle and Pike Place were everything we had hoped they would be and more! They have gorgeous, inexpensive bouquets of flowers, perfect little spots for mini shoots, vendors that thought we were locals, bathroom stalls with short doors :p, lots of fresh food, street musicians & hot donuts to die for. We thought about stopping by the first Starbucks location (and even walked past it a few times!) but wanted coffee & food places that were just local so maybe we'll stop by there next time!
I couldn't have asked for better travel buddies than these girls! It's so funny to think that 3 months ago when we planned this little day trip, we had JUST met on facebook and knew nothing about eachother! For all we knew, we might have hated each other once we actually met!! Pretty sure we all thought everyone else was going to bail on the trip:) haha But regardless of the uncertainties, by the time we met at the retreat, we all felt like we had known eachother for years and our Seattle trip turned out marvelously. I can't wait for our next adventure together!
