I'm so excited to share Dan & Anna's wedding with you this weekend!
The weather was absolutely perfect on a June day as I woke up and drove over to the church where everyone was getting ready. Anna was surrounded by sisters & friends & talking to her brother in Uganda as I arrived- how special to get to connect with him all the way around the world even though he couldn't be there in person!
Dan & Anna had decided to do a first look {though I'm not sure who was more excited about it- them or me!!} so once they were ready, I headed over to a nearby park with Dan & waited for Anna to arrive. After the first look, they had some moments to enjoy together before we started with their portraits. I loved being able to just work with them for a bit before the rest of the wedding party arrived for pictures. The day was so much more laid back that way and the couple was able to relax & be themselves without a large audience.
The rest of the day followed smoothly from there {except for when I went to the wrong reception venue because there are TWO with the exact same names in the same town... and of course my directions took me to the wrong one! Thank you Jesus for Mama's who act as a personal GPS!}.
It was a beautiful, God-centered ceremony and Dan & Anna were surrounded by so many family & friends as they celebrated their marriage.
I so loved working with you two! Enjoy your blog post while your images are on their way!
gorgeous veil choice that complimented Anna's shorter hair style SO well!
lacking a mirror?! no worries- the guys looked to the Puritans to help them fasten their ties:)

I loved how they took a little stroll to enjoy sometime alone before we started portraits!

How awesome is this?! The guy that was supposed to be their best man is in the Army and got deployed to Afghanistan so he sent them a cut-out of himself to display at the reception!
