Cookie Cutters
{mama's idea!}
Simply take long lengths of ribbon, loop through cookie cutters, tie and hang!
{we concocted this last winter in place of a wreath:)}
You'll need: 5-6 pinecones | 1 1\2 yards of ribbon per pinecone | glue gun
{we used 3\4" ribbon}
1} Tie one length of ribbon to the top of each pine cone with a double knot {you may need to fold the end of the ribbon to make it easier to tie}
2} Using a hot glue gun, place a few drops of glue around the knots you just made, securing them to the pine cone stem.
3} When glue is dry, gather ribbons together, half in each hand, and tie a bow.
If you wish for a staggered cluster, simply pull the ribbons to various lengths in your hand before tying.
You should have excess ribbon hanging down after you tie your bow... leave as is or trim ends to lengths of your liking.
Plastic Wine Glasses
{inspired by Crate & Barrel}
You'll need: set of plastic wine glasses {found at Dollar Tree} | glitter & glue OR glitter-glue | 5-6 yards of ribbon.
1} Use the glitter-glue to create designs on your glasses. {Originally I was just going to put glitter around the rims... but once you get going it's hard to stop!} Let dry overnight.
2} Cut your ribbon into 6 lengths {they don't necessarily have to be equal}. Tie one end of a ribbon length around the stem of a glass. Repeat for all 6. Gather ribbons in your hand and adjust them until you like how the glasses cluster together. Tie the tops of the ribbons into one bow and hang!
