last fall, corina and jonquil started applying to colleges and we were all eager to see where they'd commit--  come spring, we had our answers! since quill chose a school that's on the way to corina's school in nashville, we talked about doing a road trip once they were settled in the fall. well summer flew by and a few weekends ago i rolled out of town after work, picked up quill and drove to corina's campus. the three of us spent the weekend exploring, sharing the ups & downs of transition seasons and pushing each other closer to jesus. i introduced them to centennial park and the parthenon and they introduced me to old episodes of the tv show "a different world". we watched glass blowers, potters & wood workers share their skills, laughed & teased each other, ate delicious tacos and worshipped with other believers at ethos church. such a rich time and so thankful to share in their growth through this new season!
