rocky river evenings | part 2 of 3

rocky river in the summer is one of my favorite places to be.
uncle barry & aunt laura have always welcomed us
in whenever we have the urge to visit them and whether
the pace is slow or fast, wonderful memories always result!
this particular evening, i had the privilege of taking their
family portraits for the fourth year in a row.
we wrapped those up with a few extra group snapshots
that you'll see below and then we ran to the grocery to pick up
meats & cheeses, fruit & olives, chips & hummus and other
picnic munchies to take with us to an outdoor concert.
unfortunately, we arrived at the concert venue to find out
that we had the wrong time so instead, we took our
picnic to the beach to enjoy and watch yet another sunset.
a few years ago, someone created an epic "tee-pee" out
of the driftwood that had washed up on shore.
we've never forgotten that and uncle barry had
the brilliant idea to start another one.
by the time we left, he had a good base established but when
aunt laura & i biked past the next day, someone had knocked it down:/
beach glass is getting scarce on this beach but i still
manage to find a few good pieces each visit:)
