today is one of those days where i won't set foot out of my house except to do a little gardening or sit in the sun. no appointments, no errands & no working out of a coffee shop. my hair is greasy & thrown into a pony tail, work is prawled all over my bed (aka my office), and i'm wearing the most casual, comfy clothes in my closet. it's not a glamorous day by any means but it has been productive.
monday's are rarely my office days though. in fact, i've come to love mondays because they are typically energetic & get the rest of my week moving in the right direction. fridays are my office days-- the days when i wrap up final edits, clean up my computer, balance check books, pay bills, figure up mileage, sort out my schedule... that kind of thing. but due to the busyness of the last month & the busyness of the month to come, today became my office day. gosh. i sound so organized! ha! not even close. it's always a work in progress.
my to-do list is finally dwindling for today and i've even had a few moments to look into details for my trip to italy! super exciting considering i received the booking contract for the wedding last week! it's all happening for real!! in the past few weeks, i've been on an italy kick when it comes to movies (go figure, right?!). some of my favorites are, "three coins in the fountain", "much ado about nothing", roman holiday, letters to juliet (love the grandmother!) & "life is beautiful". next on the list is "journey to italy" & "the italian job".
during my break from facebook, i've bit a little bit oblivious to the whirlwind of weddings happening this spring {other than the few weddings i've photographed this year}... oblivious to all of the exited pictures & status's of long-distance friends, both old & new, tying the knot. so i'm really excited to *attend* a wedding this weekend! and since it's out of town, that means a whole weekend to catch up with dear friends!
i was sitting here thinking back to last week. 5 days in a row i was with 5 different groups of believers and each separate time, we spent time laying hands on one another & praying. 3 of the 5 times were unplanned; spur of the moment. i love that! there was a season a few years ago where i didn't even know one group of people who believed in the power of prayer like that and now in just one week, i got to experience the incredible blessing & fellowship like that 5 times!
now, obviously that isn't a typical week for me. but it did bring to my attention how much i've taken that for granted and also how important it is!
on another note. this guy moves out tomorrow! and not just out of the house-- he's headed out of state!
crazy to think that he just went to prom & graduated last month. really going to miss having him around!
