small gatherings.

i've come to this season of life where i really appreciate small, classy gatherings with friends. i want to learn to be a good hostess and entertain well. try new dishes & cook with fresh ingredients.

when swing dancing was cancelled due to the heat {who wants to dance when it's 109/heat index of 116?} i asked eleanna if we could throw a small dinner party for our group of friends that would have been getting together anyway. thankfully her mama was okay with it and completely spur of the moment/day of we brainstormed and let everyone know about the change of plans. we all pitched in to pull things together and it was a lovely evening. we even ended up dancing:) inside of course. {except for learning an aerial...}
