P31 Spring Fling Workshop | Couples Shoot

This last weekend I was privileged to attend a Spring Fling photography workshop put on by some of the fabulous ladies in the local Pursuit 31 photography group I'm apart of. They did such a great job organizing it, the sessions were super helpful {branding & social media optimization} and the shoot-outs a bunch of fun {couples, off-camera flash & seniors}. I came away with *so* much and now am doing my best to implement what I learned!

The workshop was held in Fountain Square & we had lunch at the Smokehouse on Shelby {where I tried hushpuppies for the first time!}. A few of us also stopped in at Harloh's Vintage... which holds a huge selection of vintage clothes & accessories for both guys & girls! It fits right in with Fountain Square's retro feel. Love!!

My group's first shoot was with Jenna Davis who is a talented wedding photographer in the Indy area. She gave us great direction on posing, metering, using your surroundings to your advantage & shooting in full sun. I'm finding that I love working with couples/engagements sessions/weddings more & more so this shoot was definitely my favorite! Since this couple are some of Jenna's "real life" clients, she requested these photos not go on our Facebook pages but instead on our blogs, so here they are:) Meredith & Joe were such a cute couple & absolutely super considering they'd never done a photoshoot before & suddenly had 30 people photographing them over the course of the evening!
