Tutorial | Love Sachets

After making a whole bunch of sachets two Christmas's ago, I had a bag of Lavender leftover that I've wanted to use. I saw the idea to make heart sachets and thought I'd try it so here's my take! I wanted these to have rough/uncut edges so I did all the stitching on the outside vs. stitching them wrong sides together and then turning them right side out. You can do it either way you like.

Materials
Fabric scraps | Heart shaped cookie cutters or other traceable hearts | Lavender or potpourri
1} Trace and cut out your heart shapes

2} Stitch pieces together, leaving a small opening to insert filler {I sewed the little heart onto the front before I sewed the front & back together}
 3} Fill your heart with lavender or potpourri {I use a rolled scrap of paper as a sort of funnel to insert the lavender}
4} Once filled, stitch your opening shut and you're finished!

Sachets are great gifts and can be used in clothing drawers, cars, etc. If filled with Lavender, they can be tossed in the dryer with your clothes or heated for a few seconds in the microwave to ease a headache.
