Amalfi Coast // Ravello

Ravello was certainly the quietest Amalfi town we visited. While many of the coastal villages are at sea level, Ravello is set above the Tyrrhenian Sea.  The 13th-century, Moorish style Villa Rufolo offers almost panoramic views of the sea and surrounding terraced gardens. During the summer it hosts popular indoor and outdoor concerts. In addition to its beautiful gardens, my favorite piece about it was the varied tiled floors indoors! So many different patterns! We also toured Villa Cimbrone which is another medieval style estate perched up above the sea with gorgeous gardens. At one point, I wandered off on my own and was using maps to get back to the center of town... but I totally forgot in reading the map that we were on a mountain! So I ended up halfway down the mountain before I realized I was definitely not going to reach the village center that way.
